This 1-day training and state licensing exam are integrated for Mold Assessor and Remediator. Free online review materials with 1-day classroom for both exam review and a combined single state license licensing exam for both assessor and remediator.
Assessors need to understand about remediation because they are writing remediation protocols. Remediators need to understand about assessment because they are often doing remediation without a prior assessment, especially water damage contractors.
It’s $500 for the certificate for 1 license application (Assessor OR Remediator). $1000 for certificates for BOTH license applications.
Water damage contractors generally get both licenses so they can bill for both the mold assessment and the mold remediation.

This is the basic initial training for mold professionals that want a certification as either a NORMI Certified Mold Assessor or NORMI Certified Mold Remediator. Even though, to avoid conflict of interest, the mold industry is broken into these two professions, NORMI teaches both in the same room in this course because assessors need to know how to do remediation and remediators need to understand the assessment process when a third-part assessor is not onsite. This unique training approach is called “concurrent training” and has proven very successful, especially with the hands-on segments we include. This is a three-day course and designed to put the student on a pathway to success in running his own business or being the best employee they can be.
